Worst customer service and casual attitude by Sales

Receipt number - 6744 of amount Rs.5000.

The loan sanction took around 40 days due to some issues, and finally got sanctioned on 13 April 2012. The release orders from Tata Finance were sent to showroom on 18 April 2012.

From the beginning the sales representatives at Srinathji motors, kept telling me that you just fill up the form and the car be delivered in not more than 4 days. They even take chance to not confirm whether the loan will be sanctioned or not. And when loan got stuck in approval, then also they keep telling me that the vehicle will be delivered within 2 days of approval of loan.

Then finally after resolving some issues with the finance loan got approved on 13 April 2012. I submitted the ECS mandate on 16 April 2012, as 14 April was a holiday in banks and 15 April was Sunday. Now the main problem started - which has kept me worried and expecting every day that my car will be delivered either today or tomorrow.

While loan issue got resolved the sales executives with whom I had my earlier meetings has left the job at Srinathji Motors. Now whenever I called Srinathji motors on their land line number 01204171000, to check the status of my booking, one or other person took my details and promised me to call back after checking the status within 1 hour. But I did NOT received any call from any one till date.

When I went to showroom to check the status I met with Vikas and to my surprise he told me that my file got missing from them and they will need all my documents AGAIN. Understanding that my case took some time and the earlier executives have left the company, they might miss the file somewhere, I provided all the documents again. When I asked how much time it will take now they said casually that it will be done as soon as they get the release order from Tata Finance.

On the day when I submitted the ECS mandate form, Vikas was not there, and I met with Nisha. At that time I wanted to make the final payment so that they can send the documents for registration. But as Vikas was not there Nisha told me that, as soon as Vikas comes I (nisha) will ask him to make the final calculation and he will inform me and send the file for processing. I NEVER got a call back. When I asked what is the process after this then she said that they (Srinathji Motors) will send the file for registration and you can come and make the final payment at the time of delivery also. I happily came home waiting for my car to be delivered.

The release order was given to them from Tata Finance on the evening of 18 April 2012.

And now another surprise, next day on 19 April 2012, I got a call from Shubham their new sales executive, that I need to make the final payment, so that they can get the Insurance processed. No one ever before told me about this thing!!

When I reached there (in 1 hour) they calculated the final payment amount and found that actually I do NOT have to make any payment as my loan sanctioned amount got increased by Rs.4000. I was surprised he did not made the calculations before calling me. This is an obvious thing - you are calling a person to make the payment and you do not know if actually there is any payment pending or not.

If they has done this in the previous evening or even in morning they could have sent the documents for registration on the same day. But they waited to call me and reach there to prepare the registration documents.

Now when I asked that this registration thing will be done in at most 2 days and I will get my car on or before 22 April 2012.

I confirmed again on Saturday evening with Shubham about the delivery and he said he will callback after confirming from Vikas, but I did not get any callback till date.

On Sunday 22 April 2012 morning I tried to call Shubham but he did not picked up the phone. I kept waiting for their call till noon, but no call. When I called Vikas at around 3PM, he told me that due to some delay in Government process the registration is not completed yet and will be done on Monday, and I will be able to get the delivery by evening. God why did not he told me a day before - as it must be known to him on Saturday himself. This may have taken some excitement off my mind.

Now knowing that they would not call me themselves I called Vikas at morning of 23 April 2012, and giving me another surprise - he told me that the registration confirmation will be received by 3PM and after that I can get the delivery - but the papers will ONLY be available next morning i.e. 22 April 2012 (later i came to know that 24 April is a holiday with RTO so how did he promised that). I was still okay with that, as I am getting my car today, at last.

Now after 3PM I started waiting eagerly for a call from Srinathji motors. And I finally received the call at around 4:20PM that my car is ready for delivery and I can reach the showroom and take it out. I was happy, not knowing what is next surprise.I reached there with my wife and son as they were very excited to sit in the new car.

After signing the necessary documents for the delivery - Vikas told me that there is some issue and they are still waiting for the email from RTO and it may be received before 6PM and we can take the car out after that. We waited for that confirmation and in the meantime our car was getting prepared for the delivery - installation of gear lock (on my request) and washing polishing etc.

Now another BOMB - at around 5:50PM Vikas came again and told us that the email is not received till now and the RTO office is closed. and probably RTO is closed on Tuesday 24 April 2012. So they will be able to deliver the car on Wednesday. He further suggested that if I want I can take the car out on my undertaking - that Srinathji Motors will not be responsible for any mishappenings, as insurance will come into effect after registration is done.

Now this was the limit of my patience. I burst with anger on him. He asked me talk to their manager. I do not know his manager's name but I met him and told all my story. As if they have more surprise for me - He (the manager) suggested me - that I can take the car on Srinathji temp number plate but should not drive it unless registration is done. Voila.... I was shocked... once again. Why should anyone take a car out with him if can not drive it on the road?

I just left the showroom without discussing anything further and came back to my home.

I am not able to hold the wait anymore. I have reached this stage after so much struggle with Tata Finance, correcting my Cibil ratings so that they can sanction me a loan. I have also exchanged my old motorcycle and I am on my foot since last 5 days and at least 2 more days I will be like this. I am spending more than Rs.100 on rickshaw every day to send my son to school.

I am fed up of broken promises, casual attitude and half and incorrect information provided to me by the various executives at Srinathji motors.

They do not know what they are selling - for a middle class family a car is a dream. I was thankful to Tata Motors as they have made that dream achievable for people like me. But now after last 8-9 days, the excitement is getting down day by day. Everyday I came to know a new thing. Every morning I wake up I start thinking about my Nano and will I be able to get it today and till evening that dream moves 2 days ahead.

I am feeling like I am not their customer but a fool, who accidentally dropped on their doorsteps and they are free to do the job as per their speed and according to their will.

Update to above: After i sent this complaint to Tata Motors customer care email address at customercare@tatamotors.com. I got a call from their territory sales manager Rajeev Kumar discussing about the issue and he promised to resolve the problem with the service as soon as possible. I got my car delivered on 26 April 2012, and this time they did their home work and took every necessary steps required before delivering a vehicle like - they described the functionality to me, double checked the accessories provided with the car, checked the functionality of the car and lights etc. I am also getting follow up calls from Srinathji motors almost everyday about any issues I may be facing. I just hope that they had taken this much care for every other customer.

The worst deal I have ever made.

For the first time in my life I planned to buy a new car for myself. I found out that TATA INDIGO eCS – VX is the one which suits my requirement and fits within the budget with the best deal from TATA Motors. So I went to SrinathJi Motors, which is the nearest dealer to my place of residence. I went there to enquire about the car, the very first experience was so bad, but I ignored it. There was no executive to welcome the customer, I waited at the reception for the receptionist and asked for the concerned whom I spoke over the phone.

Lack of knowledge: Now when I met the sales executive, I found that the executive was not having proper information about the product, neither she was technically known to the product nor with its features and fixtures. Since I had already researched a lot about the product on internet, so did not found such big trouble with it. She showed me a Boucher for the car, I asked her to show all those features which were mentioned there, which she was unable to show. She made me meet her supervisor, who said that all those features are there in the car but they don’t have that model available with them at the moment. They asked me to visit again another day. I visited them, initially I found out LX model was good enough for me as it has Defogger in it. But when next day I visited them they said that TATA Motors have stopped providing defogger in LX model, so I made my mind to go for VX model. There it was mentioned that the car has keyless entry, when I asked the sales executive to show me the keys, with remote she was unable to show. Her supervisor promised me that the car that would be delivered to me would have the center locking with key less entry, and other features as mentioned, on this promise I booked the car.

Loan Process Flaws: While booking in the car, I kept my old car with them as a booking token and asked them the delivery date, for which they mentioned that the car is out of stock so it would take two week’s time to come and in the mean time I need to get the loan approved, I deposited all the documents with them, they themselves arranged for the loan approval. I was surprised to see that the interest on the loan and the processing fees offered by them was higher than the bank was offering upon negotiations they gave me deal. This whole process took around 15 days.

Poor Delivery Services: While booking they charged me for the Seat covers, which they promised that they will give during the delivery of the vehicle, but it’s around 14 days today, that I have been chasing them for getting the seat covers which they do not have any answer for. Every time they say that the vendor is delaying and they will get back to me within a day’s time, but to my surprise with no response.
On the day of delivery, my car was not cleaned for PDI, even tyres were not looking like new, when I saw the meter reading it said only 800 mts, and when I asked the dealer, they mentioned that they have a right to make the reading as ‘ZERO’ once before the delivery. May I ask the, If this is true?

Extra Charged: On the same time they charges me Rs. 46000/+ for registration, whereas the Road Tax receipt says Rs.38000/+. This means they charged me around Rs.7000/- extra, WHY?

Car Registration: While getting the car registered the executive don’t even know what all documents are required to get the car registered, since I am putting up on rent, the executive asked me to get my police verification done, in case I wanted to get the car registered with Ghaziabad authority, I went to the police station for the very first time in my life and was so embarrassed for the same. Later I came to know from some other sources that police verification is not at all required. I all other documents to the guy including the affidavits and rent agreement. To which the executive said that this would not work, I said in case this would not work I will got the RTO by myself and will get it done. The next day I got a call and the guy said that your file has been rejected, I asked why, he said that you go to authority by yourself and speak to the officer. In the mean time I asked some other car dealer about the documents required, they told that the electricity bill of the owner is required, I went to RTO with electricity bill and the officer very easily registered the car. This is how the knowledge of Executives at Srinath Ji motors work.

Discrepancy in actual product: it is mentioned , in booklet that the car is having a Goggle Case, in between the Sun Shaders, but in my car I can’t find the same, Ash trays were mentioned in both the rear doors, but in my car it is not there. Center Locking system, doesn't support the self locking system, upon starting / ignition of car. it has to be done manually. As per the dealer there are many differences in the products as when they come to them.

OVERALL: BUYING CAR FROM SRINATHJI MOTORS WAS THE WORST DECISION I TOOK. I SUGGEST NEW BUYERS NOT TO GO TO SRINATHJI MOTORS, BETTER THEY SHOULD OPT FOR OTHER TATA CAR DEALERS.THEY DO NOT PROVIDE QUALITY SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER AND ONE NEED TO BE FOOLED AROUND FOR EVERYTHING WITH THEM.

i bought an old car(Tata Indica eV2 Xeta) from srinath ji motors as a result of which i am fully satisfied with their service and that also at a affordable cost!
one of the best tata car dealers in delhi ,ncr according to my view and customers who are looking to buy an old/new car, its better to go to srinath ji motors and get service from them.awesome vendor company for tata motors.:)
